The “Windy City Striders” are located in Casper, Wyoming, and are among the oldest running organizations in the state. Our club began in approximately 1982 when a few passionate runners, united by a love for the sport, decided to come together. As more people in the community showed interest in running, the organization was formed. Since then, the “Windy City Striders” has grown into a nonprofit organization and earned certification as a Wyoming RRCA Running Club.
As a nonprofit, the Windy City Striders have become an integral part of the Casper community, fostering a sense of camaraderie and health through running. Our club welcomes runners of all ages and skill levels, from beginners to seasoned marathoners, and we strive to create a supportive and inclusive environment for everyone.
The Casper Windy City Striders are not only focused on our own events but also actively collaborate with other local running organizations across Wyoming. We regularly assist with race-day logistics, volunteer efforts, and promoting healthy lifestyles throughout the state. By working together with other groups, we aim to create a stronger, more connected running community that spans beyond Casper. Our club’s mission extends beyond running events—we are dedicated to fostering a culture of wellness and inclusivity in our community. Whether you’re looking to improve your running capabilities, train for a race, or just get out and meet like-minded people, the Casper Windy City Striders provide opportunities for growth and support in our local Casper Wyoming running community. Join us and become part of a vibrant and welcoming community of runners who share a passion for fitness, fun, and friendship. Together, we can continue to support Casper’s health and wellness culture and inspire others to lace up their shoes and come out for a run with us!
